Health tips for safe pumping & milk storage
Essential health and safety tips for using your breast pump
Wash hands thoroughly before pumping or handling expressed breast milk.
Warm the flange gently before starting. Massage the areola to help stimulate let-down.
Start on the lowest suction level and increase gradually. Stop immediately if nipples or breasts become sore, reduce suction or check flange fit.
Keep each pumping session to approximately 15–20 minutes maximum.
Refrigerated expressed breast milk should be used within 72 hours (3 days). Discard after this point.
Do not mix freshly expressed milk with already-refrigerated milk. Do not refreeze thawed milk.
To warm refrigerated milk, place the container in warm water. Never microwave breast milk, this creates hot spots and damages nutrients.
Once thawed, milk not consumed within 24 hours must be discarded.
Breastfeeding? You'll want a pump so someone else can help.
That's advice from mums who've been there. Engorgement, returning to work, and difficult night feeds don't wait. Noira Haven is built for real-life feeding, quiet, portable, and comfortable enough to use every day.
Comfort that prevents pain
Designed for mothers who want efficiency, comfort, and control over their feeding journey, without being tethered to a wall.
Hands actually free
Position the flange, switch on, and let the pump hold itself steady against your body. Your hand is free to do other things. No gripping required once it's in place.
Quiet enough for the office
Traditional pumps sound like machinery. At 40dB or less, this sounds like gentle suction. Use it in your office, your car, your home no announcement needed.
Express faster, worry less
Milk goes straight from flange into the collection bottle beneath. No extra containers, no transfer step, no mess. Ready to feed or store the moment your session ends.
Efficient, Comfortable, Discreet.
Whisper-Quiet Motor
At 40dB or less, quieter than a normal conversation. Pump in your office, at your desk, in the car, without drawing attention or announcing yourself.
9 Comfort Settings
Adjust suction to your body, not the pump's default. Start low and increase until milk flows comfortably. Find the level where you get good output with no discomfort.
3 Expression Modes
Initiation phase to stimulate let-down. Stimulation phase to maintain flow. Expression phase to empty efficiently. Working with your body's natural rhythm, not against it.
Hands-Free Once Positioned
Hold it to position, switch on, the suction created by the pump holds the flange steady against the breast. Most mothers find it stays in place throughout a session without gripping.
Auto-Shutoff
Session complete, pump stops automatically. No alarm, no guessing, no forgetting to switch off. The LED display shows session timer and battery level throughout.
Rechargeable Battery (140 Min Battery Life)
Charge once via USB. Multiple sessions per charge. No wall socket, no cord, no restriction. Pump at your desk, on the bus, or in the car, wherever your day takes you.
Closed-System Design
Physical barrier between the milk collection area and motor. Milk flows down into the bottle and cannot travel back into the pump body. Safe and hygienic every session.
Direct-to-Bottle Collection
Milk goes straight from flange into the attached collection bottle. No extra containers, no transfer step, no mess. Ready to feed or store the moment your session ends.
Quick 3-Minute Setup
Attach the collection bottle, check the connection, switch on. Once you've done it once, you'll do it in under a minute, even at 2am. No complicated assembly.
The 3 types of breast pump.
Most mothers who quit pumping early did so because of the pump, not the commitment.
The 3 Types of Breast Pumps
Cheapest option, but exhausting. Hand-pumping for 20+ minutes every session. Fine for occasional use, unsustainable for daily pumping.
Powerful and effective, but bulky. Requires a wall outlet. Too loud for office use. Most mothers never use it after the early weeks.
Portable. Quiet. Adjustable. Comfortable. Efficient. Rechargeable. Works anywhere, any time. Built for working mothers.

What This Means for Your Pumping Journey
Manual Pump:
Cheap upfront, but exhausting and time-consuming = you quit early = supply drops
Hospital-Grade:
Powerful but bulky and loud = can't use at work = stored and unused
Noira Haven:
£116, portable, quiet, comfortable, efficient = you actually pump consistently = supply maintained = you can feed and work.
Result: You pump the way you need to. Not the way the pump forces you to.
Frequently Asked Questions
Many mothers who plan to exclusively breastfeed find a pump invaluable when reality sets in. Engorgement is painful and doesn't wait for a convenient moment. If you return to work, you'll need to express.
If baby has a latch issue or tongue-tie, a pump buys you time. And having one means your partner can help with feeds, giving you a break that matters enormously for your wellbeing. Better to have it and not need it than to urgently need it and not have one.
It shouldn't be. The 9 suction levels exist precisely so you can start gently and find the level where milk flows comfortably with no discomfort.
Always start on the lowest setting and increase gradually. If you experience nipple soreness, reduce suction and check flange fit, the nipple should move freely in the tunnel without the areola being pulled in.
Yes. At 40dB or less, the motor is quieter than a typical office conversation. Most mothers use it in a meeting room, at their desk under a nursing cover, or in the car without drawing attention. There are no loud start or stop tones.
Once you switch on, the suction created by the pump holds the flange against the breast and keeps it steady, you don't need to grip it throughout a session. You hold it to position at the start, then your hand is free.
For maximum hands-free use, a supportive nursing bra holds everything in place so both hands are completely free. It's not a wearable pump that sits entirely inside a bra, but for most mothers it's genuinely hands-free once positioned.
No. The closed-system design creates a physical barrier between the milk collection area and the motor. Milk flows down into the collection bottle and cannot travel back up into the pump body.
The standard 24mm flange is included and fits the majority of mothers straight away, no measuring or waiting for the right size. Correct fit means your nipple moves freely in the tunnel without the areola being pulled in.
If the fit feels tight or uncomfortable after several sessions, you may need a different size. Compatible 21mm and 27mm flanges are available separately. If you're unsure, a registered lactation consultant (IBCLC) can assess your flange size in person.
You have 30 days from delivery to try the pump at home. If pumping isn't right for you for any reason, return it for a full refund, no questions asked.
